The only major structual components that remained in their pre-accident state wer the left wing (seen here) and the rudder and vertical stabilizer. Because these parts didn't need to be recovered, the reconstruction was considered a major repair and not a rebuild, which meant I could keep the 3" numbers on the tail instead of having to move up to the currently required 12" numbers.
